Thomas L. Blank, CIH, CSP, FAIHA, currently part-time Senior Principal, Technical Specialist at BWX Technologies, Inc. Mr. Thomas L. Blank has over 45 years of leadership, mentoring, and professional recognition in safety and health. Mr. Blank graduated from the University of Utah with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry and Microbiology. He graduated from the University of Central Missouri with a Master of Science in Industrial Hygiene. Tom is a Certified Industrial Hygienist and Certified Safety Professional. He was an Adjunct Instructor for the University of Central Missouri from 1987 to 1994 where he taught introduction to OSHA, Industrial Hygiene, IH Chemistry, and Environmental Monitoring. Since 2007, Mr. Blank has been an Adjunct Professor for the Pennsylvania State University in New Kensington, where he has taught the Health and Safety related courses for the Environmental Engineering Review Course. He has presented over 30 technical presentations and authored numerous EHS articles. He is an active member of the American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA) and was named a Fellow in 2010 in recognition for his service to the AIHA and the profession. He currently serves on the Board of the Pittsburgh Local Section of AIHA.
